4K or Ultra HDTV's are becoming popular and the new norm. When clients purchase these sets from us, or when we setup a clients TV the question usually gets asked "Where can I get 4K content now?" I like simple and straight forward answers. So in researching this, I found this article that does a great job in explaining the best current providers of 4K content. As explained in the article some the majority of this content is obtained through apps, however 4K bluray discs & players provide a great alternative also.

The best choice for live 4K TV channels would be either DirecTV, or Dish Network. When you have a DirecTV or Dish Satellite box certain live 4K TV channels may be available. Of course it's always best to check with those providers to get the latest information on what channels would be available in 4K.

Many of our clients use YouTube and Netflix to watch 4K content on their TV. These two apps are probably the most popular apps we find our clients use. Both Samsung and Sony TV's offer a microphone on the remote on certain TV models.  With this you can search for certain content on YouTube.  When using the Voice Search on the Sony remotes I have found that YouTube offers an abundant amount of 4K content. By just adding the words 4K at the end of your search you will probably find 4K content.
